MEET COACH WILL VAN DER WALT
Will comes with a background in Business Analysis since 2012, working with teams as Scrum Master and Agile Coach since 2017. In this journey, Will soon realised that the outcomes of organisations are limited by the way people interact and abide in systems and structures together. This lead to an exploration of Systems thinking, Lean, Agile and various coaching approaches including systemic, and dialogic coaching.
Will is passionate about supporting people and systems in finding their own answers and as such, in 2022 he graduated with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Coaching from the South African College of Applied Psychology.
As Agile Coach, working with leaders and teams with a systemic focus, the realisation that coaching Agile Teams does not always serve the needs of the organisation as a whole; led him to explore Enterprise Coaching capabilities and seek mentorship in this domain while working towards the designation of Expert in Agile Coaching, currently underway.
Will is passionate about supporting Scrum Masters, fellow Agile Coaches, teams and leaders and this takes shape in mentoring; training; individual, group and team coaching; as well as facilitation.
His certifications include
- SACAP Post Graduate Diploma in Coaching
- ICF Professional Certified Coach (ICF PCC)
- ICAgile Certified Enterprise Coach (ICP-ENT, ICP-CAT)
- ICAgile Certified Agile Coach (ICP-ATF, ICP-ACC)
- ICAgile Certified Expert in Agile Coaching (ICE-AC)
- EMCC Global Individual Team Coaching Accreditation (ITCA)
- EMCC Global Individual Accreditation Senior Practitioner (EIA)

COURSES WILL COACHES
Facilitation is a cornerstone skill for successfully leading agile teams. As much of the work in agile teams occurs through face-to-face communication and involves collaboration in nearly all decisions, the ability to facilitate discussion is paramount to success.
In this 3-day Agile Team Facilitation course you will develop a greater sense of self-awareness, an improved ability to self-manage, and will be able to continually show-up powerfully with a strong presence.
The course is brought to you in partnership with TeamCatapult in the US and it holds the distinction of the first ever ICAgile accredited Facilitation class, back in 2012.
“Now I am much more comfortable using the tools Kay and Antoinette taught us. I can adapt and change virtual meetings with greater success. I would definitely recommend it – and doing it virtually was great fun!” – Zelda du Plessis

Coaching is one of the most powerful forms of leadership, especially in an organization looking to embrace an agile mindset. The Agile Team Coaching course is designed for those who want to enhance the skills of helping others learn and grow.
Whether you hold authority over your teams, or merely the responsibility of helping your team create results, this 3-day workshop will help you navigate the complexities of collaboration, and even lessen the use of authority to get work done.
The course is brought to you in partnership with TeamCatapult in the US, where they have trained hundreds of leaders, managers, product owners, agile coaches and ScrumMasters in the skills of facilitation and coaching.
“In order for teams to gain the full potential of working as a group, the team needs to transition from a mind-set of working as individuals to a collaborative team mind-set. This course has broadened my understanding of how a coach can participate in guiding a team to work better.” – Lunga Silandela
